Len:

Kinda of disappointing, you would think this would heat the blood much
more and the comments would have been much more, even though,
apparently, they comment too quickly... dismal figures there... I am
thinking about seeing a shrink next week and seeking medication to fight
off this depression... Krist those of "Brotherhood of the Dead Key" must
be wearing black arm bands... perhaps contemplating a change of church!
(away from the "Jehovah's Witness to the ARRL", "Holy Order of the
Brothers of the CW Cross to Bear" or "Brotherhood of the Brass Key")

I expected those for elimination to run 10:1 against those supporting! I
just can't understand it... I will use this bottle of Jim Beam to console
my spirits, a "Meeting of the Spirits" if you will...

Today's Scorecard in the NCTA v. PCTA Amateur Championships!

Total 662
In-Between/Dupes 67*
Against Elimination 152
For Elimination 443

* In-betweeners are those "following" the ARRL plan to scrap code
testing for all but Extras, therefore with feetses in both camps.
In that group also are duplicate Comments and a few who wish a
higher morse rate for all below 30 MHz! Excluded are the "joke"
comments with names and given mailing addresses which are
obviously phony.

Note: The DATE RECEIVED block on the ECFS Search Listings is
running on Eastern time zone and the calendar date for all
Comments is set accordingly.

To date, the NCTA:PCTA ratio is 443:152 or 2.9:1 ratio. The
number of "in-betweener" Comments has increased markedly over
the second week of Comments.

Stay tuned. This NPRM has NOT YET appeared in the Federal Register
so the Comments seen so far may/may not be used by the FCC in
determining the final Report & Order. Thanks to Carl Stevenson for
pointing out the Federal Register non-appearance.
