Hey, a handheld CB should work just fine. Of course, those hops in the video were a bit more than a few miles ... more than hundreds of miles, for that matter ;) I also noted that the operator in the video seemed well beyond his twenties (or thirties or forties for that matter). I thought the oldsters were worthless too :)) I can understand why some folks left the newsgroup on what appears to be at least a semi-permanent basis (Ed Hare comes to mind). With luck, our old friend may upgrade his player (maybe he needs a newer browser as well).
