One day, while a woodcutter was cutting a branch of a tree above a river, his axe fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "Why are you crying?"
The woodcutter replied that his axe has fallen into water, and he needed the axe to make his living. The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The woodcutter replied, "No." The Lord again went down and came up with a silver axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. Again, the woodcutter replied, "No." The Lord went down again and came up with an iron axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The woodcutter replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the man's honesty and gave him all three axes to keep, and the woodcutter went home happy. Some time later the woodcutter was walking with his wife along the riverbank, and his wife fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my wife has fallen into the water!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with Jennifer Lopez. "Is this your wife?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the woodcutter. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!" The woodcutter replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to Jennifer Lopez, You would have come up with Catherine Zeta Jones. Then if I said 'no' to her, you would have come up with my wife. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I am a poor man, and am not able to take care of all three wives, so THAT'S why I said yes to Jennifer Lopez." The moral of this story is: Whenever a man lies, it is for a good and honorable reason, and for the benefit of others. That's their story, and they're sticking to it! - "IT OK FOR MARK AND STEVE TO LIE --- THEY ARE HONORABLE MEN !!!!!!".. (riiiiiiiiiiiiight!) The Man in the Maze QRV from Baboquivari Peak, AZ |

What an absolutely assinine, deluded and idiotic rationalization for being dishonest and deceitful. Markie, you claim that you NEED to lie to be safe, but ARE YOU...?!?!? Would all of your lying stop you from being an unfortunate victim of a drive-by shooting? Or prevent you from being carjacked? Do you think that by trying to hide who you are would stop a meteor from landing on you or turn back a tsunami? to exercise my rights to free speech in the nation we live today and also defend my right to LIVE, I feel based in part sadly on the behavoir of Stevie and Dave et al over the past few years,Must wrt to matter that can be used to track me down Markie, there's not a single word of deceit or mistruth that you could utter that would prevent a determined person from locating you and harming you if they so chose. Look at the number of celebrities who take exacting and detailed precautions, yet are STILL victimized by REAL stalkers. Stevie OTOH does seem to think his mistatement become true when uttered in the name of cause he considers noble There's no "mistatement". Lying is lying. Whether you do it to keep a spouse from knowing you were laying out, trying to beat a traffic ticket, or forgot your homework. Steve, K4YZ |

One day a drunk stumbled upon a preacher baptizing a group of people down by the river. He stumbled out to the preacher to see what was going on. "Would you like to see Jesus?", the preacher asked the drunk. "Sure", said the drunk. So the preacher held him down under the water, then bringing him up asked, "did you see Jesus?". "No" said the drunk. This time the preacher held him under a bit longer. Up came the drunk gasping for air. "Did you see Jesus that time?". "NO!". So this time the preacher held him down for a goodly amount of time. Up comes the drunk spitting water and gasping for breath. "NOW did you see Jesus?" "NO", exclaimed the drunk, "are you sure this is where he fell in?" |
