Here are a couple of chassis photos. I don't see any evidence of removed
pushbuttons but who knows?

Their is also a photo of the tuning control for the person who wondered
how you tune the radio.

Note that there are cams on the tuning cap shaft. There should be rocker
levers and cam followers on the front that force the tuning shaft around to
preselected stations. Someone must have removed the levers.

Well Tom, you made me go back and look at the pictures.

Definately a row of cams. The levers may have been removed about
the same time that what caused the front dial to get damaged.
