Hi William:

Yes, the photo includes part of the system in my family room. The speakers
on this system are made by Genesis. I do have a set of Quad ESL-63s in the
living room as part of my main system, and I've included a picture of them
here. Note that these are sitting on custom built subwoofers, with the base
of each ESL-63 dropping into a pocket in its respective sub.

Please note the fully restored Rogers-Majestic Model 10-58 between the
speakers (just to keep us on topic).

All the best : Doug Bannard

eating the dog food.)

Well that's about par for the course for me. Seems that I almost always
forget attachments so here goes:

That's weird-looking -- a modern high-tech speaker in a room with an antique
radio and lamp.

Nice veneer on that radio. What is it?

No silly, that's a Christmas tree. Quad speakers are much flatter than
that.

You just gave me a terrific idea. Which I won't reveal, because it might be
workable and patentable.

It wouldn't have anything to do with a singing Christmas tree now, would it?

Yes -- sort of -- but not in the way you might think.

Hi Phil:

It's a walnut veneer, but it's kind of a "tiger" pattern. I'm sure someone
else on the group will probably be able to come up with a better description
than that. It was stock anyway on this Rogers-Majestic 10-58 from 1936.
I've attached a bit better close up shot.

Best regards : Doug Bannard
