Trying to identify a Philco console radio (0/1)
I bought an old Philco console at an estate auction several years ago,
and have had it sitting in my living room because I like the way it looks. I would like to identify it, but can't read the paper id sticker inside it. The most interesting thing about it. to me, is the dial. It's a vertical drum that reads from 1 to 100, not the standard AM frequencies. What kind of information should I provide to assist in identification, and where can I look. It was suggested on rec.antiques.radio+phono that I post a picture here. There are 2 pictures from the front, one with the top up and one with the top up, plus a closeup on the tuning dial I don't want to sell it, I don't want to rebuild it, I just would like to identify it. Any help would be appreciated. |
