I came into the store this morning to find THIS sitting in
front of the door on the sidewalk. Apparently my reputation
as an elephants graveyard has followed me from Los Angeles.

And yes, those lights you see at the bottom are one of those
"flash according to the music" things that were so popular in
the '70s.

I'd almost bet $5 that if you open that thing you'll find a pair of
NTE102A's (or equivalent) for output transistors...

Then there was the time I got thrown out of Donna's Lounge for
doing that.

I put in a tape of "Stand By Your Man" and when it came time to
sign, I did my rendition of Old Yeller howling along in time
with the music.

Apparently the owner didn't see the humor in that, She took the
microphone away from me. "You go now!"

Although my best one was singing along with all the old folks at
Alpine Village during the Oktoberfest.

Of course, but not by the 70+ crowd at Alpine Village in the
harbor gateway area south of Los Angeles.

What's disturbing is that the song has such a pleasing melody. Then
you read the English translation of the lyrics (my German is poor) and
it's even more disturbing to admit you enjoyed the melody! It truly
was a Nazi anthum. Wessel was also, unfortunately, credited for the
melody, though some historians dispute this, saying it was a much older
folk song.

Right after you learn it in Korean (unfortunately, I can't type Hangul in
the NG's)... but the Latin (their word for Western alphabets) equivalent is:
Nore (no-ray). A karaoke room is a nore bang (bong).

Have fun. :) Then you can come out of the corner. :)
