New scanners from Radio Shack??? anyone know?
The Pro-96 has been around for a while, any rumors out there about new

It's speculated that GRE probably won't release a new model until
some rebanded systems are online. Erring on the side of caution, I suppose. In the meantime, the PRO-96/2096 works quite well unless you need to track 700MHz trunked or LTR systems. In that case, the newer Uniden scanners (396/996) should work for you. All of the above *should* be able to be modified to work after rebanding takes place, but nothing is 100% certain. Hence, it may be wise indeed for GRE to wait. |

Looks like Win96 is the way to go for programming software. --- Bob Anderson*Bitwisebob Eugene Oregon |

The choice is a bit more than local/mail order. You should really compare the 96/396 or 2096/996 feature by feature to see which one best suits your needs. |
