Air Monitoring Freq. Ranges ?

Hello:

What is the "official range for the normail aircraft frequencies ?
Is it 118 to 137 MHz, or does it start at 108 ?

The same question, please for Military Air Monitoring ?

Thanks,
Bob

The band officially starts at 108. Below 118, though, you're mostly
going to hear navigational (such as ILS) systems and not voice comms.
You'll also find some milair (and other stuff such as satellites) from
137-144, but the "official" band is 108-137.

The "official" band is 225-400 MHz.
