![]() "Crackles McFarly" wrote in message ... It received it two times in the past but this past wednesday it was silent for the whole weekly test time frame. I checked NOAA and no significant weather was ongoing to prevent such a test from being done. Should I be concerned or does this happen now and then [that is, does NOAA sometimes forget/fail to send out the weekly test?] thanks What type of weather radio do you have? There have been recalls on a few that fail to alert as they are supposed to... http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07292.html It could also be an issue with signal strength. The signal in my area is not very strong, and sometimes I don't get the weekly alert either. Depends on weather conditions, humidity, etc. Somedays the signal comes in good, other days you can't hear it. |
