Default Yupiteru MVT-7100: Keypad problem

Hi and tnx for reading my message.

I've a 10 years old Yupiteru MVT-7100 and since about 2 years now, I've
some problems with the keypad: I must press some keys very strong, to
be able to use them.

what can I try to do to resolve this problem ?

tnx in advance

I'v e just got one of these sexy little beasts! But the keypad is
rather worn, can anyone please tell me where I can get a replacement
and also a new battery cover, in the UK if possible? Many kisses to
anyone who can help! xxx

Tom and Elaine...
Try http://www.javiation.co.uk/mvt7100.html. Several years ago I bought a
7100 from Jonathan at Javiation and was pleased with the transaction!

Unfortunately my MVT7100 has gone "south" and I need to find someone to
repair it. I'd prefer a North American shop but might have to send it back
to Javiation (in the UK) or to Japan. If anyone has an idea on this issue
please post some info!

Thanks!

Al

Did taking it apart and cleaning the contacts ever enter your mind ?
Sounds logical to me, if you don't have the expertise to do it, find someone
who does.

I use first a pencil eraser then a little swab with some of that electronic
parts cleaner. Clean both the key contacts and the board.
Should be good to go for awhile, but the problem is likely to return, even
worse, eventually.
