Need help with uniden MR8100

I need to know what the green wire is for and if I need to wire it up?
And what it supposed to be wired to? I just got it and it doesn't have an owner's
manual. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Terry

The green wire is hooked up to the ground of the microphone clip if you have
a two-way radio in the vehicle (these were made for the California Highway
Patrol). When you took the microphone off the clip (which was grounded), it
turned off the radio so there would be no feedback or background noise. I
simply reach over and turn mine down when I'm on my 2-way. If you don't
have a 2-way in your vehicle, don't worry about it, simply roll it up, tie
it off and stick under the MR8100.
