Was listening to Ch. 16 Marine band while driving around Racine, WI. Heard USCG
base in Michigan yelling at some boaters to get off the calling channel: "We
have the capability of tracking you down and finding you ... and you WILL be
ARRESTED! Take your traffic off the calling channel ! ". He sounded ****ed. It
was a beautiful day and there were a LOT of boats out.

Also was hearing the NWS weather station out of Escanaba, MI perfectly while
parked in the Racine, WI harbor parking lot. Some 250 miles or so right up the
shore of Lake Michigan.

Not bad for a cheap Radio Shack scanner in the car with a mag mount cell phone
antenna.
