Uniden sportcat 180..
 
Hey, just wondering if anyone had this scanner i just ordered it off
of the net and i think it is really good just wondering ur opinion,
and was wondering if there was n e thing cool that n e one no's about
it that i could try, and/or modifications

this is a great scanner if your looking.

this is a great scanner if your looking.

Theres nothing real great about it if you compare it to other scanners.
About the only thing it has going for it is the alfa tags. With only 100
channels you wont get too far. Its just a basic radio without very many
features.

I have two of them. It's my favorite handheld. When/if you get tired
of the BP-180 battery pack, you can easily change to a NiMH battery
pack. Neatest trick: it has a stereo headphone jack, so you can use
Walkman-type headphones with.

Most people pay a little more for the Sportcat 200. In my case, the
store sold only the 180, so that's what I got.
