Cell phone tower control boxes
 

down the road, they just put some cell antennas on the water tower.
the boxes arent fenced in yet so I went for a closer look. what is in
these? it sounds like some cooling fans and stuff. thanks

The "boxes" or equipment cabinets contain the radio base station
equipment, which includes the radio transmitter and receiver
equipment and site controller.

Inside is the receivers) and Transmitters for the Cell site, and a few
other stuff, but yes there is cooling fan's inside due to the heat made
from the transmitters and from day time heating. I had a chance to work
on and with Cell site's when I work for Motorola until they lay-ed me
off. It's was some cool stuff.

Computer stuff, simply put.

Imput and output links for the landline and Cellular end of the Network.

Nothing of any "use" to the average Scanner.

I would advise staying out and away from them, 1st they are private property
and 2nd they are beyone interface to scanner users.
