Your Sony ICF2001 most probably has a blown rf amplifier . It is a FET on the Jack board of the radio. U can trace the input lines from the external and internal whip antenna to find the FET. For some reason the designers did not diode protect the input RF amp against static discharges into the antenna system.. Replacements can just about be any FET of the same type. Radio Shack here in the USA sells several for less than $3.00 that work fine.. "Serial # 19781010" wrote in message ... I need schematics for Sony ICF2001 (not ICF2001D). It has very bad reciption.
