Finding local frequency

How can I locate the freqs. for a local cab company that may have recently
changed their freqs for the base to the cabs & from the cab to the base?
I'll appreciate any assistance.

Happy Holidays,

Tom

if u r in the UK.
it will probably be found between 165166MHz only (base)
& + 4.8MHz for the mobiles

there r low band freqs (8687MHz) but they r rare & being phased out.

I do not know where you live, but here in Cagary Alberta Canada, the
cab companies freq's are all over the different bands. That is some
are in the 143, 148, 150, 151, 152, 162 163, 164, 452, 453 ,800 Mhz
etc. You may want to do a search with your scanner.

If you're in the U. S., check the FCC's web site and look for the
license. If they're leasing a system, however, the licensee may be
the radio company.

My good old standby was to determine the band (by the antennas used)
and search the band while sitting in the car nearby their office with
your squelch at maximum.
