week end. PRO-96 is on sale for $499.99 or
is this going to be it's "regular" price point?

From what I have seen and read, $499.99 is the scanners regular price. If
it indicates a 2-day sale, then they are lying; either that, or they are
raising the price because the demand was higher than they expected..

I called my local Radio Shack about 2 weeks ago trying to locate the Pro-96
"anywhere in the state of New Mexico". The clerk typed away on his computer
for a couple minutes and then said, "I don't see any in stock anywhere in
the United States." So I ordered it over the web site.

Your right, I went back and checked there web site,
they do not have a red "SALE" tag on the price point, for the PRO-96.
Also the two day sale this week end at Radio Shack IS STORE and/or site
WIDE.
I'm sorry this was not emphasized in the original post.
