Did you take it to Radio Shack and have them program it for you?

Go to this Yahoo Group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PRO95/?yguid=32820385

You can join for free. On the home page their are links to downloading Don
Starr's free PRO-95 software and a link for purchasing a compatible cable
for the radio. This is the easiest, and best program for programming this
radio! Lots of help from the group also. Very friendly and helpful people.

I would suggest joining the PRO95 Yahoo group, and keeping the Win95
page handy. Make *sure* you read the programming cable information on
that page. The Yahoo group may also have programming files you can use;
don't let the RS people do the programming; most folks I know that have
done this said it's a waste of time. There's also a PRO95 info page
that's well worth keeping.

Here are all the appropriate URLs;
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PRO95/
http://www.starrsoft.com/freeware/win95/default.asp
http://www.pro-95.info/

If your system isn't digital, the PRO95 is a keeper.

Check out this site for software

http://www.starrsoft.com/freeware/Win95/default.asp

and here's another one http://www.blackbagsoftware.com/pro96.com/

I got it at http://www.strongsignals.net/access/...tware.html#DS=
OFT

While your doing a Preprogrammed search ,when the scanner stops on a fre=
quency
hit "enter"
and that frequency will be stored into the next available channel in a b=
ank.
LOOK OVER THE MANUAL for the
correct button strokes to get the above done on your radio!

it sounds to me like you need to program some of your local freq's into it.
