have found very,very little in regards to modifiying this scanner. Anyone
have any links?
As a previous owner of a 2052, there were a lot of sites that had info on
many hardware tweaks such as volume,backlight mods etc.

Any for the 785D?

Here's a site that has mods for the BC 780 XLT don't know
how applicable they are for the BC 785D. You may want to go back to this site
later to find out if they transition to or develop any for the BC 785D
This radio hasn't been around long enough to have generated many mods.

The reason most of us refer to the BC 785 D as a $700 radio, is we can't
imagine purchasing it without the BCi 25D digital card!
