I just purchased a used (but mint cond.) Pro 2006. It has a toggle switch on
the top that I need help in identifying it's function. This particular model
has the sound/data squelch from the factory, so that's not it. The only
thing I noticed about the switch is it cuts the keyboard beep volume in half
when engaged. Was that ever a mod on the Pro 2006? Any other ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the information. I'd have figured the mod would cut the keypad
beep volume off completely, but I suppose the beep at full volume is
annoying enough to warrant a half volume mod. Just seems a strange mod.
