Modes Utilized For CB Question ?

Hello:

The 26 and 27 MHz CB transmissions:

What mode (AM, SSB, FM, NFM, etc.) is used ?

Always ?

Thanks,
Bob

Mostly AM. Some SSB, both USB, and LSB.

In Europe NFM (4 Watts) on the 40 CEPT channels.
But also AM (1 Watt carrier, 4 Watts modulated) on channels 4-15.

In Germany:
SSB upper and lower sideband on channels 4-15 with 4 Watts ERP.
Digital modes (mostly packet radio 1200Bd) on some specified channels.
Additional 40 channels (FM only) below(!) the CEPT channels.

Many "freebanders" above 27.405 mostly in USB...
