As defined by international treaty, currently the "Radio Regulations"
(IRU, Geneva, 2001), the designations for the bands are (view with fixed
font!):

Freq. 30kHz 300kHz 3MHZ 30MHz 300MHz 3GHz 30GHz
VLF | LF | MF | HF | VHF | UHF | SHF | EHF
| | | | | | |
Band
--4----|---5----|---6----|---7----|----8----|----9---|---10---|---11--
| | | | | | |
Wave- | lw | mw | sw | | | |
length 10km 1000m 100m 10m 1m 10cm 1cm

After using up the adjectives very/ultra/super/extremely, they gave up and
band 12 (300-3000 GHz) has no name. The bands below 9 kHz (the lowest freq.
subject to treaty) are usually referred to as ELF.

So can we use the same adjectives in describing the wavelength?
