Scanners are legal in Canada but if yours is digital capable then you have
to have a Ham license.
Whenever I travel with my scanners I always carry my ham license. In most
jurisdictions it's irrelavent, but it does add to your legitimacy. Then
again, I've never been hassled by anyone over my scanners and I've taken
them to Canada and Mexico.
Good idea but I don't have a ham license. Instead I'll carry a copy
of the letter I got from the Canadian officials.
