Auto Mute for Scanners
Hello,
I have a PRO-2067 and a 30 watt VHF/UHF transmitter located close together in a small car. Their trunk mounted antennas are also close together. I need a device to disable the PRO-2067 when the transmitter is keyed. The BC-780XLT has an accessory device AutoMute-780 that mutes the speaker when a strong RF signal is detected nearby. However, I'm not sure muting the speaker is enough to protect a scanner from overloading when a transmitter is keyed next to it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Mil. |
Dave and Rob, thanks for your suggestions. I now have an idea of what to
