I bought this on Ebay, and the software is fine except that it will not
successfully download the frequency list to the radio. I get the CL ERR message right at the end of the download. Does anyone else have this problem? |

Does anyone else have this problem? I use the Icom software to program the IC-R5. I had a similar error message when I entered scanning frequencies in the 800 MHz range. When I sent the list to the IC-R5 from the software, the upload would get close to completion then the error message would pop up. When I removed those frequencies - I think it was 821 MHz and so on- I was able to upload to the IC-R5 without an error message. |

I think I may have solved this. In my initial attemps to download the list
to the radio, I don't think I started with a FileNew, and I was just adding to and editting a (somehow) corrupted data set. If I "new" it first, then edit it, it will download without error to the radio. I have only put in 25 or so local airport freqs, and nothing at all in the 800 MHz range at all, so that problem might still be there. |
