Listening to TV audio

Quick question..

If I purchase the scanner in US, would I be able to listen to TV audio
in different region (lets say, India)? In US, we use NTSC system,
compared to PAL in India. But that is applicable only in video.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

yes the tv audio is not affected by video region coding

Just got in on this thread... So, it is possible to listen to local TV audio
on a scanner? Any help on how I would find out what the frequency would be?
New to scanners, so any help appreciated...
