Pro 2026 won't save
My Pro-2026 won't remember channels anymore.
I pulled it apart, and on the bottom side of the breadboard that houses the main CPU, there is a horseshoe looking component that has seperated right down the middle. Any idea if this is the culprit? Did some other component used to live in that spot, or can I simply solder the two halves of the horseshoe together and get it to remember channels again? Thanks. |
Well, I just learned that that is jumper L201.
I just tried to save some freqs and it worked. Still a mystery... Somehow the entire memory was clearned while I was parked at my office. |
If you have one of the 1st units with the three wire hookup, try this:
To alleviate the problem with loss of memory if the radio loses complete power for any reason, I connected a battery pack to the orange wire from the radio and I do not connect the orange wire to 12v power source, Its set up the same as the BC-760xlt. They had a "mem" loss problem on the 1st ones. On Wed, 26 May 2004 20:11:10 -0700, "User" wrote: Well, I just learned that that is jumper L201. I just tried to save some freqs and it worked.
