Best Scanner

Hi guys. I am getting back into the hobby after 8 years of too much
work. I want a handheld that I can program from the computer and that
recieves 800 and mil-air (200-400 mhz.)
I have a Pro-62, A Pro-93, a 2006, and another RS unit in my work truck,
but don't remember the model. The Pro-93 was supposed to be computer
programmable but I never got it to work. The Pro-62 is a great unit but
takes too much time to program.
If anyone here can help me with my decision it would be most
appreciated, and I am open to all suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Well there are a lot of radios that are computer programmable. I would
guess that your problem with the PRO93 is that RadioShack sold you the
wrong cable for it. If you need digital trunking then you are looking at
the PRO-96, BC250 and the BC296. If you are not in need of digital and
can wait a few months then the BC246T should be out by the end of the
year. I guess you could get the BC250 and not the digital card for it or
a PRO-95 but I would wait and see what the 246 has to offer.

Uniden 250 D. You can program it from your PC. You will need the E Scanner
Plus software to program it with.
I got my software on E Bay for about $50.00. The scanner comes with
everthing els you need.

I also have the digital card installed but have not heard anything digital
in the year I have have it.

Have fun

OMG you actually paid 50 bucks for that piece of crap software :/ FYI
you dont need E Scanner Plus to program it. You can do it by hand or get
the better software from Butel.
