Check the back-copies of Monitoring Times, who feature lots of Canadian
info. Their website may have something available. Generally the 'Mounties
and Provincial Police are migrating to trunked systems everywhere, maybe not
digital (yet) everywhere. And from 2.182 Mhz St John Coast Guard makes
excellent weather reports (normally gale warnngs for the maritimes). They
shift to maybe 2598 or 2497, can't remember which but it is announced
regularly. Same for St Anthony, Halifax and others in your target of
interest. VHF Marine traffic will use the International vhf-marine channels.

You may want to access the Industry Canada TAFL database.
