Yea, they are trying to get rid of current versions of the PRO-96 because
they have a firmware defect
concerning the reception of analog trunked talkgroups. Buyer beware.

If someone wants to buy a 96, is there a way to tell before they buy if it's
an "old" 96 or a "fixed" one??

Well they must be having problems with the firmware on a lot of stuff
since the 96 isn't the only thing on this one day sale :/
