Uniden 220xlt Problem

I have a 220 xlt hand-held scanner that scans normally for the programmed
frequencies, but it totally unresponsive to any keypad inputs. Has the main
CPU gone brain dead, or is it fixable?

Does the keypad have a lock function?

If the keypad isn't "locked" then the contacts might be dirty.

I've had to take my BC200 apart a couple times and pull the rubber
membrane/keypad off and clean the copper contacts on the circuit
noard. Dry and reassemble and all is well again (until next time).

It was the keyboard lock after all. The unit had a lot of use and the LOCK
label is just about worn off the front of the case. Of course, the tiny
key symbol in the bottom corner of the display should of told me something,
if I had bothered to look......

Thanks for the responses.
