It was a long time ago so I had to look it up and found I did not cut a
diode but installed one. However the cellular enable required cutting a diode so: I removed D-502 to enable cellular, and used it as D-501 to increase scan speed. Don't cut or remove D-503 since that will decrease the scan speed. Dave Daphne + Dave wrote: what diode? "Dave Holford" wrote in message ... Aside from an extra bilateral switch in the 2006's squelch circuit, both are identical. Later versions of the 2006 use a light switch instead of a dimmer to conserve the EL panel's life. Both my 2005s scan at over 20cps - but I did cut the diode which slows down the scan speed. Dave |
