newbie ? BC246Tvs BC296D
 

I'm a bit confused. Have old scanners but new to trunking etc. Was
going to buy bc296 but like bc 246. Will the bc 246 do everything the
bc296 does , just smaller. I realize that bc296 is digtal and its
picks up local police. Does this mean bc 246 picks up only anlog
therefore will not pick up my local police? I confused.....
If bc246 p/u everything the bc296 then why would one pay more for the
bc296?

The BC296D is capable of receiving the newer "digital" systems, the BC246T
is not. This is a major difference, but only if you need it.
