alinco dj-g5t

I have an Alinco dj-g5t hand held scanner. I want to use a wall wart while
listening to it in the house. Can someone tell me what volt size I need for
this scanner, also is it a negative ground/

look in the manual or on the side of the scanner.
select a voltage the same as what the batpack gives and any mA rating for
the PSU must be greater than that on the side of the scanner

No you don't. The dj-g5t is a handie talkie with very limited receive

capabilities.

I only want to be able to listen not transmit. Thanks.
Patt.

The DJ-G5 has a DC in socket on the side of the radio which can take a
variety of voltages, I think(from memory) as low as 6V and up to about 15
Volts, although not much more than 13.8V is reccomended. For use with Rx
only, try around the 12V @ half an amp and it should be fine.
