Discriminator tap and what will you find

I have a pro 2026 and a pro 2006, i have put a discriminator tap
on both using the mod listed on the many scanner websites. So heres
the question, whats the next step ? What other eqiupment will i need to
start finding something using the discrominator output. It
seems everyone has a mod for this but no info on what to look for
and how to decode it.

Oh yes. Paging: POCSAG, FLEX, ERMES with PDW (
www.p2000-flex.tk).
Frequencies depending of where you live. For optimal results, you may
want to consider a 2 or 4 level data slicer.

And AIS with ShipPlotter (www.shipplotter.com), freqencies 161.975 and
162.025 MHz worldwide. That is, if you live close to the sea or a
harbour. A discriminator output and soundcard will do fine usually.
