a RAT , SCUMBAG dropped a dime on my newsgroup listings to eBay

SNIPT
Other then what I THINK happened. Some NO LIFE, MISERABLE lurker in these groups, basically a RAT , SCUMBAG dropped a dime on my newsgroup listings to eBay, and they removed my auction. If you check my newsgroup post, and it's responses, SNIPT Listing an item FA: in a newsgroup is an ebay violation? OK it is but why? How does attracting more potential buyers and getting a higher FAVF bad for ebay? As for not reimbursing a listing fee they can get away with that because of all the disclaimers in that you willingly posted something was in violation and it was up taking HD space, not their fault you broke the rules, you got what you paid for a listing. To reimburse you wouldn't be cost effective and they don't care you never use them again, they got 10 new suckers coming on line every second. |
Day in and day out these newsgroups are LOADED with nonsensical SPAM, and hore**** to beat the band, and nothing is ever done about it. Other people pee in the pool and get away with it, so it's OK for me to pee in the pool. Well folks, the gloves are off. I will offer the scanner on a straight FOR SALE basis 80 ZILLION times on these groups. An now I am threatening to pee in the pool many more times. |
You're hardly blameless in all this, You are right. I fully admit posting here on the groups. However, it's a hard pill to swallow to have fellow hobbyists hurt you in this way, when I meant no harm to anyone. Over the years many hobbyists have benefiited from the equipment I've sold. No one is getting rich. I think if we are going to clean up the newsgroups, then Let's do it for all, not just one because someone got their panties twisted seeing an item bid up for more then it should have. That's just not fair. but I do agree with you on one point... eBay should provide a legitimate reason each and every time it ends an auction. They should, but for some reason in this case, they have not. If and when I ever get a response, I will post it here. But I suspect it is as I said, someone on these groups did me in. So much for the amateur radio fraternity. Dan |

After being damaged by another so called "hobbyist", am I supposed to turn the other cheek? Would you? Dan |
Using a keyboard just removed from horse ****, the always anonymous,
never anonymous bud wrote.... Dan SHOULD be aware that he's risking his cable modem connection if he does that. RR can be slow to act, but they DO act on obvious newsgroup abuse, such as flooding. Does what? What flooding? And Dan HAS already made it clear that he KNOWS what he says he'll do is wrong. What are you talking about? I am within my rights to post FS items as often as I like. I fully admit here that I was in error posting FS to the groups other then the swap group, and for that I apologize. It seems like I will be the only one following the rules from now on, but I sure will also be watching and making they are enforced for everyone. Hey Bud, is it easy to report someone to ebay???? Dan And P.S., if the ISPs were as concerned with abuse as they are with making BIG MONEY off me and others, the newsgroups and other areas of the internet would be CLEAN. We all know that isn't the case. |
EBay has LONG been known for inconsistent and arbitrary policy decisions. The best bet is to NOT post for sale or auction posts here, but to the group MADE for them, rec.radio.swap. You are WRONG. The rule does not allow for ANY posting of ANYTHING eBay related ANYWHERE. Period. Not even on rec.radio.swap. That way, no one can complain about the posts being off-topic. They will and they do. All of those FA postings right now on rec, radio.swap have to go.... Dan |
Listing an item FA: in a newsgroup is an ebay violation? OK it is but why? How does attracting more potential buyers and getting a higher FAVF bad for ebay? You would think so, but that's there rule. You can ask the same question this way: How does listing a FA posting on scanner and swap newsgroups where someone might find an item they need or want, become really bad for the newsgroups and it's readers, considering that 99% of what is posted daily is plain SPAM and horse****? Answer - because some here have NO life and simply MUST enforce THEIR will upon others. I agree with you 100% on the above. Well, the couple bucks for the listing fee is money well spent. This has been some education. Dan |
You listed one or more items that I did not approve of,
so I had the offending auctions removed. If you re-list them, I will have your account canceled. Do not reply to this message. wrote in message ... Super-whine |
The Uniden 296D and 796D violate the listing rules of eBay. They don't allow continuous coverage scanners... The plot thickens.. what a ****ing loser! The UNIDEN 296 D and 796 D scanners ARE NOT continuous coverage scanners. YOU CANNOT buy one no way, no how, no where, unless you buy a very old model scanner like the 2006, etc... There are a BUNCH of 296D and 796D scanners on eBay right now. There is nothing about the scanner that would cause the auction to be removed. Someone just dimed me out. Dan |
