Pro-94 trunk/non-trunk question
I've got a Pro-94 scannner, and I would like to hear ONE particular user on a trunked system, PLUS two non-trunked frequencies. If I use the "HOLD" feature for the trunked user, the radio won't scan the other two non-trunked frequencies. At least, it won't the way I have it programmed--I'm no expert on scanning, I just like hearing the helicopter ambulances. I thought about locking out ALL the other trunked IDs, so it would "scan" just the one trunked and then the two non-trunked---but the Pro-94 only has 100 lockouts and there are many more users on this system. Does anybody with a Pro-94 know a way I can hear just the one trunked, plus two non-trunked, frequencies? TIA! --Ken _______________________________________________ Ken Kuzenski AC4RD ken . kuzenski at duke .edu _______________________________________________ All disclaimers apply, see? www.duke.edu/~kuzen001 |

The city has 2 dispatch, North and South, they are trunked. The Sheriff has 2 dispatch, they are not trunked. At work there are times I want to only hear one of the Sheriff, and one of the city. I set up one bank on the scanner that only has the Talk group for the one City, and the one channel for the Sheriff. When I just want to monitor those 2, I just turn on that bank, and turn off the others. I think this would work with your 94 also. Now someone here that knows more about these may have an easier solution, but if not this should do what you want. -- Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. --Benjamin Franklin |

I don't know anything about putting talk groups into banks--I just have the trunked system's frequencies in one bank and the other two frequencies in another bank. It sounds like if I can put a talk-group ID into a bank, that'll do exactly what I want--many thanks! --Ken _______________________________________________ Ken Kuzenski AC4RD ken . kuzenski at duke .edu _______________________________________________ All disclaimers apply, see? www.duke.edu/~kuzen001 |
