Radio Shack pricing schemes

Been considering the PRO-97 scanner. Printed the data sheet about a
week ago. Price was $199.99. This week it shows $219.99.

Wondering if they are practicing the old Sears routine of raising prices
for a couple of weeks only to advertise later $20 off. Netting the same
previously non-adjusted regular price.

Is this just an excuse to bitch about Radioshack?

Radiohsack has done this with many products over the past few years. If it
is something that is high in demand, they will raise the price as would most
companies that are looking to maximize profits

I bought the PRO-97 when it first became available, adn I think the extra
$20 for it is reasonable. I think it is worth $220.

Although.......

The knob set does give it a somewhat cheap feel. Easy to fix, go join the
PRO-97 yahoo group to see pix of the rig with an alternate knob set
