NASA 926, one of their WB-57F High Altitude Research Acft departed
Patrick at 12:05pm EDT and ascended in a spiral to work at 55,000 ft.
The acft was heard in comms with Miami Ctr on 119.825; many other
commercial airliners asked the ATC "What is that acft with the huge
wings?" NASA 926 had air-air comms with another NASA acft on 235.4.
Then, moments ago, at 1:50pm EDT (1750z), the other WB-57F "NASA
928" departed Patrick. He is headed to 53,000 feet now, and according
to NASA 926 comms, the two acft will be MARSA soon.
Both are up with Miami ATC 119.825 now.
------------
At 2:06pm EDT, both are MARSA.
