Dropouts when using "Close Call" feature

Hi All,

I have a Uniden ubc72xlt. When I have the "Close Call" feature enabled
in the background I get regular dropouts in the signal that I'm
monitoring (every 3 or 4 seconds the signal is interrupted with a pulse
of silence). As soon as I turn the "Close Call" feature off the
dropouts dissapear. Just to make it extra clear: I'm not getting the
dropouts in a signal which Close Call has locked onto, but just a
normal signal that I'm monitoring, with Close Call in the background
listening for signals. Is it normal for these scanners with Close Call
to behave like this with the feature enabled, or is my scanner a dud in
some way?

Cheers in advance,

Jake Simmonds.

This is normal behavior... The silence you here is when the scanner jumps
over and quickly scans the frequency range(s) you have selected in the
"close call" options... You will here this same thing if you were to turn
on the "Priority" scan as well...
