Is this radio a 400 or 800 mhz scanner???? anyone know???

sorry a bit new at the whole scanner thing....i meant what is the frequency range on the BC 400 XLT...no one can tell me...even uniden repair guys...PLEASE HELP...thanx

So the question is - why do you ask?

Do you want to buy one, do you own one and don't know what it is, or is someone giving you one?
With 16 channels - they are not much good for anything except listening to amateur radio, since most public service has migrated up into the T band or 800 Mhz or has been converted to digital.
16 channels does not give you a lot of variety to listen to.

And to hear something more then a couple of miles away, you are going to have to put up a outdoors antenna, which will cost more then what the scanner is worth!
