newbie: confised about scanner terms

Hi, I'm trying to get to grips with the AR8200 MkII I bought....
what do the following terms mean?
WFM, NFM, SFM, WAM, AM, NAM, USB, LSB, CW
I tried googling but couldn't find any simple definitions.

W means wide band, like WFM=wide band FM. WAM=wide band AM

N means narrow band, like NFM= narrow band FM, and NAM= narrow band AM

USB= Upper side band, and LSB= Lower side band, and CW= Continuous Wave used
in moris code (like Hams do)

assuming you already know the difference in Am (amplitude modulation) and FM
(frequency modulation)

Don't you mean MORSE code?? Or perhaps you were referring to MORRIS the
CAT??

Yeah, good ol' Samuel Moris.... Where would we be without him?? :-)
