Has anyone ever succeeded in controlling a pcr-1500 from a linux box? The
controlling software per se runs smoothly inside the dos/windows emulator "wine" under linux, but is doesn't "see" the USB port. Three options in front of me: - write the USB driver under linux (pain!) - cheat and use a tty (com) driver and redirect it on the USB port (not sure the controlling software would cooperate...) - find someone who already found a solution and is willing to share... I'd love the third option.... cheers from sunny Italy, -- Alex |

The pcr-1000 is usable via hamlib, I don't know how different the pcr-1500 commmand set is, but it should be doable. Buy a pcr-1500 for me -- to test with, and I will add the needed code to hamlib ![]() |
