NASA aircraft busy today over KSC
---------------------------------

Lots of NASA acft have been up today.
NASA 926, the WB-57F high-altitude research aircraft is up
rehearsing his role in Saturday's Space Shuttle launch, where he will
take pictures of the STS after launch. NASA 926 departed Patrick AFB at
10:05am this morning and quickly went into a spiraling climb to reach
his FL480-FL510 block.
NASA 926 has been in comms with the ground on 253.6, IDd as
"Primary," and on 270.0, IDd as "Backup."
The two STAs, NASA 944 and NASA 946, were also up and worked the
airspace over KSC, making steep dives onto Rnwy 15 to simulate the
Orbiter's landing profile.
I also heard NASA 4 depart Patrick AFB at 7:09am this morning; I did
not catch his destination.
NASA 908, NASA 960 and NASA 912 were also heard. NASA 960 arrived and
landed at the Cape Canaveral AFS Skid Strip instead of at the SLF.
