They were 6 mos ago. I sent R8B there for a tune-up. Didn't they have
their hands into the new Eton radio design - I think it was the E1, the
one Brian bought??? I heard that sync actually worked in the Eton
design so I figured Drake must have had something to do with it.

Some of the reviews I read of the E1 would leave you wondering whether
Eton had anything to do with it.

When did Kenwood stop making their shortwave receiver? I had two
portables during the 1990's - Grundig YB 400 and a Sony 2010. I always
wanted to get a table top receiver but never did. The table top that looked
the best was Kenwood.

Kenwood stopped in 1996 apparently with the demise of the R-5000.

And while they may still support it (I e-mailed them last
year and they still did), there's no guarrantee that they
still will in the future.
