strong echo on Voice of Croatia

I tuned to 9925 khz at 0200 UTC (17 Aug 2006) to hear Voice of Croatia. There was a very strong echo that I estimated at 100ms after the first signal. Ignoring the echo, I would give the signal an SIO code of 333. The echo was roughly the same volume as the original signal so it was very difficult to understand.

I was using a Sony ICF SW7600GR receiver, and I'm in northern California.

They are using two transmitters in Germany, one in Wertachtal and one in Nauen.
The fact that they are not properly synched up is the cause of the 'echo'.
