Typical transmitter power was just 10 watts, but despite the low power, EMR's signal was received over most of Western Europe and Scandinavia. Today EMR is a legal international broadcast station, renting airtime on relay transmitters with considerably higher power and can be heard throughout the world. Most recently EMR has been heard via the T-Systems transmitter in Juelich, Germany on 6045khz. EMR also hires airtime from the Latvian State broadcaster (LVRTC) on 9290khz. EMR also has a 24-hour Internet service. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Music_Radio Hear audio clips of vintage EMR at http://www.simonmason.karoo.net/page478.htm For more information on EMR view http://www.geocities.com/heartland/e.../4915/emr.html |
