Brenda Ann's post about noise has got me wondering about those wireless
phones and computers and stuff like that making noise too. Lately I haven't had much success with the small Degen from my bedroom. Lots of noise on both the whip and the Kaito loop. I have a telephone outlet on the wall behind my headboard which I do not use. I wonder if my computer which is on line 24/7/365 or my new wireless mobile fone thats plugged in down in the kitchen could be causing a prob. The twisted terminated folded dipole in the attic with the coax run to my shack here in the basement is fairly quiet most of the time. I love it when the power goes out. Things get real quiet. regards, N9NEO Just say NEO! |
