Brenda Ann's post about noise has got me wondering about those wireless
phones and computers and stuff like that making noise too. Lately I
haven't had much success with the small Degen from my bedroom. Lots of
noise on both the whip and the Kaito loop. I have a telephone outlet
on the wall behind my headboard which I do not use. I wonder if my
computer which is on line 24/7/365 or my new wireless mobile fone thats
plugged in down in the kitchen could be causing a prob.

The twisted terminated folded dipole in the attic with the coax run to
my shack here in the basement is fairly quiet most of the time.

I love it when the power goes out. Things get real quiet.

Ethernet cables for sure generate QRM. I'm not so sure about your phone
line presuming there is no DSL on it.
