half a dozen words can do isn't it. Since you are wondering how he did
it, you should pose the question to him. Have you?

How do you know that he has no repair facility. Maybe you should take
a tour of his shop. He doesn't have to be an authorized Icom dealer to
sell a radio with a 12 months warranty from his shop. You really need
to read the auction more closely and clean up your post before pressing
the send icon.
